Hello, Female MusicPreneur!
‘Tis June 1st! We’re almost halfway into 2017! Where does the time go?
I have a quezzie for you: how is your music career progressing this year?
In just a few weeks we will be into the 3rd quarter of 2017. Are you happy? Are things going as planned?
Your answer to this will either be yes or no, and should be based on whether you had a solid plan or not. If you had a plan, your results will depend on whether that plan worked or whether or not you followed it.
Have you plans to carry out a quarter 2 review to track your progress? I hope so and I hope it went well (well done, you!)
If not, it would be ideal for you to carry out a review at some point within the coming weeks so that you can decide how best to move forward. However things went, knowing where you are (and why) places you in a powerful position. YOU get to decide your next move in an informed way, so kudos to you!
If your answer to whether your plan is working out is “don’t know”, then we need to have a serious word, my love. Why don’t you know? Is it because you didn’t formulate a plan, or didn’t stick to it? The chances are that one of these answers will be the case. Well, not to worry, lady boss. There’s a way we can fix that, starting right now!
I’m inviting you to do a personal review and then set a goal for the next quarter that will allow you to get moving. Wouldn’t it be great to make the most of the rest of this year and for you to be able to look back and see actual progress was made?
This is something that you can do to take charge of and feel some sense of control over what is happening right now. To do this you would have to follow a 3 step plan after you do your review. It consists of three simple things which will help you to get on track and determine your path.
Something to keep in mind ~ you can work all the hours in the day, hustle your derriere off on social media, gig and promote yourself like there’s no tomorrow, but until you correctly measure your results and analyse what progress has been made, it’s difficult to know exactly how much progress you’ve made (if any), and how you did it, work out if and how you could do it more effectively, and know whether it was worth the cost (financial, physical, and emotional). It’s easy to feel confused about what you’re doing or supposed to be doing, now, or in the future when you don’t have a strategy in place.
Here are three things that you can do to start taking steps forward and make positive changes to your music income:
1. Decide what do you want to achieve over the next 6 months and why (the review will help!).
2. Decide how you will achieve it.
3. Choose one measurable action you can carry out over the next quarter that will set the wheels in motion.
And no, I wouldn’t make a post like this and leave you stumped as to how to do it, g’friend. I’ve been busy on your behalf! I put together a free review and plan of action course that will take you through the process, step by step. Not only that, I also created a goodie for you to help you make great strides no matter whether you follow this process or not! It’s a freebie task tracker that you can use to keep an eye on your progress over the next 3 months. Doing this will allow you to stay on track and make you accountable. Consistent action is so important for any of us wishing to build our platforms and empires. Why? Practice makes perfect, but mindful practice builds empires!
So, girl! What are you waiting for? Get cracking and make some amazing immediate changes to your life. ‘Tis time to boost your music income bottom line and to blaze your own trail!
